The Voice

I am loving the concept of NBC’s new show the voice. The contestants must go through a blind audition without the judges being able to see what they look like and rely completely on their talent!  In fact, there was one female contestant who none of the judges picked, but when their chairs turned around and Cee-lo saw what she looked liked, he wished he had pushed the button, and in fact jokingly tried, but it was too late. She didn’t have a great voice, but she definitely had what Hollywood would consider “the look,” which makes her marketable, and marketable artists make money!!  That’s what I call a classic  example of what takes place in the industry today. I love the fact that everyday people, who based off appearance alone, wouldn’t normally get an opportunity to get a record deal  get a chance. Its just nice to see that actual raw talent is coming first for a change.
